that’s old version, the last is 4.0,
my question is what;s the diff between 3.0 and 4.0, is that necessary to upgrade to 4.0 for docs repo?

You can see the difference between 3.0 & 4.0 in the license feature comparison table: License Versions - Creative Commons Currently, we don’t see the need for changing the license from 3.0 to 4.0, so we’d like to keep it as 3.0. If you have special reasons or requests for 4.0, please let us know and we’ll reconsider it.

we strongly recommend the use of the 4.0 license instead
